Aggregated data is never perfect, so we build for correction instead of pretending otherwise. Every record shows when it was last checked against state records. Every profile has a Report Issue button, and a person — not an algorithm — reviews every report before anything changes. Contractors can request corrections to their own listings the same way. When we can't find a license for a business, we say "no license found as of [date]" — a checkable claim — never more than the records support.
The Verified badge means our team has reviewed that contractor's identity and credentials against official records. It is never for sale on its own: no contractor can pay their way past the review, and no unlicensed business can buy its way out of a warning. Visibility on this site can eventually be paid for; verification can only be earned.
